It's Many Faces
With ITS MANY FACES, DERRY present their long-awaited debut album and make it unmistakably clear why they have long been an integral part of the German horror-punk scene. Following the EP REMEMBER THE CURFEW, the album is also released on Fett Fleck Records and encapsulates everything the Marburg-based band stands for: dark stories, driving punk rock, and an uncompromising love of horror. Horror punk, skate punk, and melodic punk rock with a clear 90s vibe DERRY masterfully balance raw directness and catchy hooks, dark atmosphere and maximum forward momentum. Unadorned, powerful, and highly catchy a sound that works equally well in clubs, on the commute, and in festival mosh pits. IT'S MANY FACES is more than just a collection of songsit's a cohesive work, a love letter to horror, punk rock, and Stephen King. In essence, it's a consistent concept album dedicated entirely to Stephen King's IT, with the novel forming the basis of the research, lyrics, and motifs. The previously released singles "Laurie Ann," "Deadlights," "Afraid of Spiders," and the final pre-release single "29 Neibolt St." illuminate different facets of the same story, coalescing into a unified, dark whole. And please don't miss the fantastic cover artwork.
