Red Letter Day
From The Shadows
Subsequent to our well received 'Sacred Planet?' 2023 album release on Detour Records the band continue the association in the shape of a killer, sixtrack EP 'From The Shadows'. The band are proud of the variety showcased in the six songs which feature the same line-up that produced 'Sacred Planet?' plus Razor from The Torpedoes on additional guitar who previously played with The Day from 1989-2001, enabling the band to prepare for some live dates later on this year. Red Letter Day formed in 1984 and roamed the earth for 24 years. Always with me on vocals and Daryn on drums, I hope its fair to say that each incarnation had it's highlights. We released eight singles and six albums, toured the UK and Europe, had our records played on Radio 1 and recorded a session for the legendary John Peel. Played with many of my favourite bands. Never realised my aim of doing the band fulltime but not for the want of trying! I stopped in 2008 as for me the effort and grief was outweighing creativity and fun. In 2020 I had ambition to record another album which we recorded in five enjoyable bite sized chunks from 2021-2023. Ade, May 2026
