A fantastic split-LP shared by two acts from Montreal, Canada, both featuring a man named Joey Napoleon. UUBBUURRUU plays rather laid back psychedelic pop with striking melodies. EL NAPOLEON's music reveals some of the same harmonious elements, but adds a serious dose of garagerock sharpness. Fans of BABY WOODROSE, SPIDS NOGENHAT, early MONSTER MAGNET and oldies like THE SEEDS, THE THIRD BARDO and tons of English pop-psych groups à la TOMORROW, SKIP BIFFERTY or APPLE will enjoy this release big time.
