Ocho Pies, a 4-piece blend of world music and jazz, searches for music that crosses borders and mixes cultures. Formed out of the legacy-large mega-group Obrador in 1994, Ocho Pies has been performing music of the Caribbean, North, South and Central America, Mexico, Europe and Africa. Singing in Spanish, Portuguese, French Creole, African Langage and English at Festivals, Universities, clubs and private events. The tracks on this CD include traditional music (ritual or folk based), dance pieces (mambo, rumba, bomba, samba, chacha) and original compositions
