Muyei Power of Orchestre Muyei (Muyei means Our Land) was one of the top dance bands in Sierre Leone in the 70s of the last century. Elements of electrical congolese and Nigerian music with fast, syncopated upbeat arrangements of traditional music forms the basis on which Muyei Power a series of unique single produced releases that were not available for 35 years. These recordings are rare glimpses of this dynamic and powerful band at the height of their fame.
