The Song Of The Phoenix

The Song of the Phoenix is the first album of a project by four musicians: Shahab Azinmehr (setar, vocals), Nathan Daems (saxophone, vocals), Farnoosh Khodadadeh (daf, vocals), and Seraphine Stragier (cello, yayli tambur, harp, vocals). Together, they bring The Song of the Phoenix to life, exploring the beauty of life, death, and resurrection through the story of this inspiring mythical bird and our music. The compositions are written by Shahab, inspired by a poem from The Conference of the Birds by Attar Neishabouri, a great 12th-century Iranian mystic and poet.
