Tales From The Alley
Raised on a daily dose of fuzzed-out, reverb-soaked garage rock, outlaw country, and a punk ethos, the Crater Snakes are a two-headed singer/songwriter serpent straight out of the beautiful gutters of Victoria, British Columbia, Canada. As for our debut Chaputa Records platter, what can we say? Ever throw a frat rock rager in a real animal house and have the pigs bust up the party and haul you and your drunken pals away to jail? Well, that's exactly what the A-side "Paddy Wagon" is all about, and it's based on a true Crater Snakes story. Then it's followed up by a real kick in the nuts and a rush to the litter box, as a feline "Tornado" comes rippin' on through the house to void itself. Flip it to the B-side, and opening track "Zombie Potion" is a reminder of the perils of self-love and self-destruction through substance use (and David came up with this l'il ditty while empowered and drunk in a Satanic temple). The record then ends with "Mother Trucker," an ode to those small-dicked a-holes who drive monster trucks to overcompensate for everything else that they lack living as a sub-humanoid. So turn it up, music junkie; the Crater Snakes are ready to ruin the speakers of your primitive analog sound system or hit the stage of any dive bar or hot dog cart in your neighborhood!
