The intriguing self-titled debut album by the Belgian-Dutch blues band Big Dave & The Dutchmen recorded in just two days at the Rabbit Field Studio with Stef Kamil Carlens (Moondog Jr., Zita Swoon). In contrast to the 'same old same old' blues, this album offers a fresh and unique mixed bag, blending fifties Chicago blues with a twist, gospel, swing, and swamp pop. Sometimes thunderous, other times intimate, but always sung and played with soul and swing.
