Ze Smile

Aky Tsemboka

Ze Smile is a pioneering TERNO band, a musical genre created by the group's founder, Zo Ramaromisa, in 1982 in Madagascar. This album, titled "Aky Tsemboka" (It's Gonna Sweat!), features 10 tracks, mostly TERNO, including "Mbola Te," the first of its kind, as well as Malagasy soul and funk. It captures Ze Smile's musical universe: a fusion of traditional Malagasy music with funk playing and electronic sounds, resulting in harmonious and and pretty groovy tracks. This 2026 release marks the first distribution of "Aky Tsemboka," a CD produced in 2010 and released by Amiga Loba in collaboration with Kooloy Project.
