Thumlock
Sojourns Lucid Magic (yellow/red Splatter)
Before Raff Iacurto became the guitarist of Robot God, he was already making a serious amount of noise with Thumlock in Wollongong, Australia. Formed in 1994, Thumlock played loud, fuzz-laden Australian heavy psych somewhere between Sabbath, Hawkwind, Blue Cheer and the local underground. Their 2002 album Sojourns Lucid Magic followed Emerald Liquid Odyssey, which reached #4 on the Australian Independent Record charts, with shorter, more direct songs without losing the heavy riffs and psychedelic weirdness. Tracks like Modulator, Time Machine, Bateye, Neotrantor, Zatthium Biker and Moondragon still hit hard. Sojourns Lucid Magic was originally released in 2002 on High Beam Music and is now finally back on vinyl. No reunion, no "lost masterpiece" bullshit just great riffs and Australian heavy psych. For fans of Kyuss, Nebula, Orange Goblin, Hawkwind, Black Sabbath, Dozer, Robot God. Yellow/red splatter heavy vinyl, limited to 200 copies.
