Tetzlaff, Martin
Von Der Bereitschaft Ein Wolkenschl
Berlin born songwriter Martin Tetzlaff went to the south of France (Provence) to write and compose his new album. Enjoying the sun, listening to the cicadas, having good food ad drinking good wine he found the right atmosphere to reflect on the "big city life" he leads in Berlin. In the past Martin preferred to write his songs in English, but for his "Wolkenschloss" LP he decided to concentrate in his mother tongue. It is a way to come closer to the mentality of your own home-country, he states. The lyrics and the meaning of the new songs felt too important to Martin to be sung in another language. Back home he went into a studio to produce and arrange the songs. For the finalization and the mixing of the whole album production he got producer Marco Birkner envolved and hired Chris von Rautenkranz for the Mastering, who already worked with Bands like Franz Ferdinand and the german Indie legends Blumfeld. Now its done and Martins new (first one with german lyrics!) longplayer "Von der Bereitschaft ein Wolkenschloss zu bauen" (about the willingness to build a castle of clouds) enters the shops! Discover fine-lined influences from French electropop heroes Air, New Wave legends Joy Division and colourful Radiohead tunes as well as orchestral traces.
