Strindbergs
Snabbare An Tiden
Strindbergs was formed in Stockholm in 1982 by ex-KSMB Johan Johansson and ex-The Moderns Janne Borgh. In an era where other bands played synths in costumes, Strindbergs played rock'n'roll and smashed guitars, combining sharp lyrics with a ferocious drive. Drawing their influences from anything from The Kinks to The Beatles, Rush to Thin Lizzy, Elvis Costello to Neil Young, and dreaming of keeping the spirit of early punk alive, Strindbergs went their own way in a frantic tempo. The band split up after three years, three albums, three singles and three hundred concerts but their output remains a treasure of sleek power pop/punk. The compilation Snabbare än tiden presents the best of their best.
