Marina Vibes

It is the meeting between a renowned jazz saxophonist (Stefano Cocco Cantini) and a cult figure of popular electronic music (Alexander Robotnick). Or rather a re-meeting, given that the two had already collaborated in the mid-1980s. After the release of "Robocok", a vinyl EP, here is the album "Marina Vibes". It is modal music in the sophisticated sense of modern jazz. Little composition and lots of improvisation. Stefano Cocco Cantini plays almost exclusively the soprano saxophone, as well as the electric piano, because it is a sound that goes better with electronics. Alexander Robotnick uses his experience to create innovative soundscapes without specific stylistic references.
