ABOUT THE ARTIST: Formed in San Francisco around 1997, Plan 9 fused the grit of punk rock with the dark edge of death rock, carrying on the legacy where the Misfits left off - and their devoted following is proof. Fronted by Scary Only of the legendary psychobilly outfit the Hellbillys, the band quickly built a loyal fan base through their fierce, theatrical live shows. Their debut, 8 Hits From Hell (2004), earned acclaim from both critics and fans, many hailing Plan 9 as the true heirs to the Misfits sound. With their sophomore album Manmade Monster (2008), the band captured the raw power and spirit of the Misfits while injecting fresh songwriting and hardhitting, high-fidelity production. ABOUT THE ALBUM: First released in 2004 as an eight-track debut, this 2025 deluxe edition features all of the original songs newly remastered, along with 10 bonus demo and outtake tracks. Conceived as a tribute to the Misfits, the album has even been praised by some as "sounding better than the Misfits." Alongside its standout original material, the release also includes a powerful cover of Danzig's classic "Archangel."
