Pansy Division
Pile Up
Originally released by Lookout! Records in 1995, PANSY DIVISION's Pile Up collects the band's early singles, B-sides, compilation tracks, covers, and gloriously unruly queer pop-punk mischief from 1992 to 1995. Far more than an odds-and-ends collection, Pile Up captures PANSY DIVISION as they sharpened their hooks, tightened their harmonies, and helped define queercore with songs that were funny, provocative, melodic, and proudly blunt. Featuring essential originals like "Touch My Joe Camel," "Ring of Joy," "Bill & Ted's Homosexual Adventure," and "Homo Christmas," alongside cheeky, double-entendre-heavy covers of songs associated with BEAT HAPPENING, LIZ PHAIR, SPINAL TAP, NANCY SINATRA, HÜSKER DÜ, JOE JACKSON, ROXY MUSIC, PRINCE, and more, this is a must-stock title for punk, indie, LGBTQ+, and reissue sections alike. Catchy, collectible, historically important, and still wildly fun, Pile Up is the sound of PANSY DIVISION turning punk rock inside out and making it unmistakably their own.
