Oatmello suffered deep personal tragedy as two close family members passed from Coronavirus. After a period of morning, he headed to NYC and poured himself into eight days of back to back studio sessions with the best lofi beat makers in NYC. Jazzinuf, Hippodreams, Birocratic, Jacuzzi Jefferson and more. The goal from the start was for the project to be as free and in the moment with the production as possible, incorporating live recordings of guitar, bass, keys, flute, and harp. The end result is a medley of sounds, incorporating inspirations from 90's boombap, early lofi beats, and jazz. Sections of the album would sound equally at home on a 70's blue note records release or the Jazz Vibes lofi playlist on Spotify.
