Nounou, Georges
RessuscitÉ
An album of moods blending poetry, *chanson*, and folk-rock *Ressuscit,* is an album about absence, but above all, about what remains. It addresses loss without becoming trapped by it, allowing humor, tenderness, and a kind of solemn lightness to flow through. It is an album of nostalgia, yet also one of resilience: the voice of a turbulent memory that continues to stir, to speak out, to laugh_in short, to resist. It showcases Georges Nounou's signature writing style, where the intimate meets the universal, and individual stories become fragments of a broader experience of time and attachment. The album draws from a rich, expansive musical palette, where the singer-songwriter tradition is fueled by rock, folk, and pop influences. Yet, it never stops there; across the tracks, melodies may rise to new heights, take on classical undertones, or return to the raw energy of rock. A living, organic, and at times unpredictable work that refuses to be confined to a single genre. Music that serves the lyrics, yet possesses a power of its own: the ability to evoke emotion before the words have even finished speaking.
