The debut full-length album from Los Angeles and New York City-based NEAR BEER. Their old guitarist forced them to be called NEAR BEER. He thought it a proper slacker dad rock band name. He was the only dad. And left to do dad stuff. The band got louder and faster. But the name stuck. 'NEAR BEER' is 10 mini-anthems about insomnia, drinking, and human connection. Sometimes cynical. Sometimes romantic. Always with loud guitars. For fans of: Pavement. Petty. Neil. Bruce. GBV. The Mats. Descendents. The Clash. The album features the singles "Yelling at a Dog", "Mixtape Generation", and "Dead Drummers". To ensure a high-fidelity listening experience, the lacquers for NEAR BEER (S/T) were cut by Wes Garland at Nashville Record Productions in Nashville, Tennessee and the vinyl was hand-pressed by the incredible team at Burlington Record Plant in Burlington, Vermont.
