Melvin, Harold -& The Blue Notes-
I Miss You
I Miss You is the debut album by Harold Melvin & the Blue Notes, released in 1972. It stands out for the presence of Teddy Pendergrass as lead vocalist, whose powerful, gritty baritone became central to the group's identity. This album also introduced several songs that would become classics. One among all, "If You Don't Know Me by Now". which became the album's emotional and commercial centrepiece: a slow-burning, gospel-tinged ballad defined by its aching melody and a vocal delivery that made it one of the most enduring soul songs of the decade. This reissue is the first ever on vinyl after 1972.
