Marcella Carboni Trio Feat. Gabriele Mirabassi
Miradas
Since the 1970s, Italian jazz in the world has had an ambassador of excellence, Enrico Pieranunzi. Marcella Carboni with her electroacoustic harp wants to pay homage to contemporary Italian jazz by reinterpreting the music of Enrico Pieranunzi. For this special project, one of the greatest interpreters of Enrico Pieranunzi's music, the virtuoso and poetic clarinettist Gabriele Mirabassi, has been brought in to enrich the Marcella Carboni trio: an atypical jazz trio, which features a harp in place of a piano or guitar. Marcella Carboni with her electroacoustic harp calls upon two columns of Italian jazz, Paolino Dalla Porta on double bass and Stefano Bagnoli on drums, at her side. A trio that puts the harp in a position to go beyond the stereotypes associated with its instrument.
