Maia, Tim
Second Album
Tim Maia's second album, published in 1971, deepened and refined the Brazilian artist's groundbreaking fusion of soul, funk, R&B, and MPB, firmly establishing him as a unique voice in Brazilian music. Compared to his 1970 debut album (HE70014), this second album features more sophisticated arrangements, tighter grooves, and a stronger command of American soul influences, reinterpreted through a distinctly Brazilian sensibility. The alcum features Tim Maia's most widely recognized hit "No Quero Dinheiro (Só Quero Amar)". This vinyl edition is the first after 10 years and the first European one.
