Guitar Chant (deluxe Edition)
An album called Guitar Chant . In this one there is no vocals, no texts, the main element is the Guitar. It substitutes singers and chant with its notes, its harmonies and its silences too. The various speakers come to join and bring their musicality to the project and it basically sounds Reggae but nearness sounds Jazz that the tracks take shape together. Kubix surrounds himself with renowned artists such as the Japanese pianiste Aya Kato, the keyboardist Marcus Urani (Groundation), or the most amazing the legendary bassist and singer of the Gladiators, Clinton Fearon on the track Mix Up. As well we find the mythical trombonist Vin Gordon (Bob Marley, Skatalites, Burning Spear etc) also featuring on the tracks Still Standing and The Walk. Partners on stage and studio from many years now, they each bring their own special touch to the original compositions of the guitarist. The album is recorded between Paris (Wise Studio) and New York (Rift Studio) and brings together 21 musicians. An album which draws its inspiration from the musicals experiences and the meetings of exciting people throughout Kubix career, which highlights musicians, leaves them express themselves, and pay tribute to the Guitar .
