Fall 2013 in Japan brought Coyote, the 4th studio & most recent release from the Japanese-American quartet feat. Umezu Kazutoki (sx,cl), Hayakawa Takeharu (bs), Kido Natsuki (gtr), & Joe Trump (dr, perc). Yet another strange & new, yet oddly familiar, foray into the multi-genre progessive jazz/rock landscape that this group inhabits, breaking down & fusing borders in their own distinctive way -- but this time with a predominantly harder edge that leans towards psychedelic heavy metal be-bop -- if there was such a thing (or maybe now there is).
