Kapelle #3
Momentaufnahme
A blend of Jamaican ska, reggae, two-tone, Cologne charm, and a political edge. Sometimes swinging, sometimes biting, sometimes melancholicbut always rooted in the offbeat. With a sound full of clatter, brass, and twang, Kapelle #3 return with their new album, "Momentaufnahme" (Snapshot). Across eleven tracks, these Cologne-based offbeat veterans serve up a mix of Jamaican ska, reggae, and two-tone, delivered with a charmingly quirky, urban perspective. Balancing danceable, lighthearted rhythms with a clear-eyed stance, the songs explore themes like taking the long way around, escaping the daily grind, life in Cologne, and anti-fascist remembranceas well as political figures who practically beg to be the subject of a ska song. "Momentaufnahme" is no nostalgic look back, but a vibrant piece of the here and now: direct, warm, sharp, and brimming with love for the offbeat. With over twenty years of history and countless live shows, Kapelle #3 remain a fixture of Cologne's subculturenow available on all streaming platforms and, at long last, on vinyl! 11-track LP, pressed on 180g black vinyl (limited to 300 copies), hand-numbered, includes a printed inner sleeve.
