Horiot, Hermine / Bellini, Giovanni
Consobrinae
Consobrinae is a Latin word meaning cousins to symbolize the relationship between the two protagonist instruments of this album, the theorbo and the cello. Bellini and Horiot wove the program of this album like an ancient tapestry, using the common thread of their two instruments and the composers who dedicated themselves to them. In addition to some gems in first recording, we listen to the two instruments both in duo and individually in a program with well-studied proportions in which the harmony of the two musicians is freely released passing from France to Italy, from one century to the next with naturalness and great musical vitality.
