Brooklyns Holy Hail are akin to the great late 70s post punk bands; all urgent, staccato rhythms and swaggering, other- worldly male-female vocals. That said, dont expect this band to sonically sound like the past... the intricate layers on the Dying (After) Party unfold like cacophonous waves of sound until the rhythm grabs hold and drives the song to new heights. Holy Hails sound isnt slick, its a strategically epic calls to arms (or the dancefloor).
