Far away in the Atlantic, where the rough winds blow, one can discover feathery notes: GUDRUN AND BARTAL come from the Faroe Islands. On their debut " Vonin Er" (which means hope!) they celebrate the melodic folk-pop with a high level of dreaminess. Within the very agile Faroese music scene the both musician are well-known: For years GUDRUN PAETURSDOTTIR HABERG and BARTAL AUGUSTINUSSEN have played together in the live band of singer/songwriter GUDRID HANSDOTTIR, which has already toured through Germany a few times. Furthermore both are active in the rock group BET YOU ARE WILLIAM. On their debut the duo impresses with its fine arranged, reduced little song-pearls that live of the clear, bright voice of the singer. Melancholic and diffident arranged songs, which are understandable in spite of the language barrier. Silent beauty!
