FADING SIGNAL formed in late 2019 seeking to craft something unique within the current landscape of North Carolina hardcore. Originally pulling from bands such as TRASH TALK and CEREMONY, the band released their demo and played two shows in early 2020 before being brought to a halt by COVID. During the pandemic, the band tried to stay active, recording a couple of EPs and experiencing a few line-up changes. In 2024, FADING SIGNAL locked in on writing their first full-length release, Only An Echo, which builds upon the sounds of their earlier material by including more melody, heavier mosh parts, and more varied song structure and lyrical themes.
