Brand new single from Roy Ellis backed by Los Angels Thee Hurricanes. Roy Ellis is a world known singer, songwriter, and musician originally based in the UK. With a career dating back to the early 1960s while Jamaican Ska music fi rst began making waves in the UK, Roys career kicked off by writing a few ska songs that were recorded and released on the Ember label. He fi rst began gaining notority as lead singer of The Bees later gaining most recognition as the front man of the late 1960s UK based reggae group Symarip. He has countless recordings under his belt playing with different groups and as a solo artist singing within a wide range of music from Ska, Reggae, Rocksteady, to Soul Gospel and Pop. After a killer show promoted by Angel City Records in L.A. in the fall of 2012, backed by Thee Hurricanes, they made plans to work together on a project. Roy was very impressed with the backing band and was eager to work with them. One year later, we are proud to present this co-releasing between Angel City Records and Liquidator Music, Can You Feel It paired with Get Up, two early reggae styled thrillers guaranteed to make you move and groove. Angel City Records reggae powerhouse, Thee Hurricanes, provide the musical backing along with back up vocals by Alex Desert of Hepcat and Xavier Lynch.
