Through these short autobiographical pieces with evocative titles_*I Ask Forgiveness from the Flames*, *I Whisper in a Sumo Wrestler's Ear*_I want to share with you the part of my story part that, since childhood, has taken the road less traveled and is told through a piano that you can hear breathing between the notes. Somewhere between surrealism and restrained jazz (at least at the start), deeply influenced by early 20th-century music, I humbly yet firmly claim a form of freedom: the freedom to move from Fr,d,ric Chopin to Duke Ellington between two original compositions. I wanted to bring all of this together through a single musical perspective, one that has been honed over the years and through various encounters, and which has a tendency to revisit everything. The approach is clear: to take a step back and try to share, beyond aesthetic currents, in the most poetic way possible, my human and mad condition. JP Caporossi
