Les Calcatoggios are now among the longest-serving acts in Berlin's ska scene. They continue to make vibrant and refreshing music that they aim to move everyone. Always danceable, sometimes even rocking, seasoned with catchy melodies and offbeats, and garnished with rich horn sections. Five young Berliners met in 1998 at a campsite in the Corsican village of Calcatoggio. They decided to form a band, and the plan worked. For 20 years now, Les Calcatoggios have been a fixture in Berlin's ska scene. Initially, they made a name for themselves playing concerts in their home district of Köpenick and the surrounding area. Over time, their audience and the band's reach expanded: they now play concerts beyond Berlin's city limits, as far afield as Paris, Barcelona, and Valencia. This CD version of their 2024 album includes the 2020 6-song EP "We Want More" as a bonus.
