We Are Alone Together
What happens when you break up with your entire state of being? Bijou Noir's vivid debut LP We Are Alone Together is a savvy collection of pop songs that probe tectonic fractures in identity, spirituality, fidelity, and loss in the 21st century. We Are Alone Together deftly calls on diverse influences from neo-soul, indie pop, synth-laden anthems, and goth-tinged industrial while continually subverting expectations. Songwriter Augustus Watkins' watery lyrics weave tapestries of vulnerable emotion while his vocals can burn or balm with singular skill. Produced in Minneapolis, USA and across Europe (including London, rural Spain, Serbia, and an island in the Adriatic Sea) in a period of nearly ten years, We Are Alone Together is equal parts elegant and world-weary.Enhanced CD (audio + video) in transparent blu-ray style case with full-lyric printed insert and hand-numbered certificate of authenticity.
