Re-fashioned
Re-fashioned is a project in which the Barcelona Clarinet Players offer a fresh take on some of musics great classics. The album brings together eleven iconic works by composers such as Beethoven, Mozart, Bach, Chopin, Tchaikovsky and Manuel de Falla, adapted into a variety of lively jazz rhythms. The arrangements were created by the renowned Australian clarinettist, composer and arranger Andy Firth, and were specially commissioned by BCP for this project. The album took shape during the 2020 lockdown as a creative initiative by the group to reinvent great classics from a contemporary perspective, keeping their legacy alive through a renewed dialogue between the past and the present.
