Brahms Cello Sonatas
Alessandro Andriani (Cello) and Mario Sollazzo (Piano) are exploring the repertoire from baroque to the XIX century on original instruments. After the successful recording of the Beethoven cello sonatas on 2 different fortepianos from the collection of Ugo Casiglia the italian musicians present now their interpretation of the Sonatas by Brahms played on 2 different Erard grand pianos form the composition years fo the two sonatas. The stormy transparence possible on original instruments is incredible and the flexibility of the two musicians in phrasing and dynamic gives surely some new ideas and surprises in the panorama of the recordings of these two masterpieces.
