Truth In The Age Of Lies
New York was always the breeding ground of legendary hardcore and crossover bands in the mid 80s, so it was no surprise that a new darker crossover sound should arise from there. Bands like SHEER TERROR, CRUMBSUCKERS and CARNIVORE combined the sound of New York hardcore with influences from extreme metal like CELTIC FROST and SLAYER. In the early 90s a new wave of this darker crossover would be spearheaded by bands like MERAUDER, DARKSIDE NYC, and ALL OUT WAR. Formed in 1991, ALL OUT WAR quickly started releasing demos and EPs to much praise in the underground scene, but it was not until 1995 that the band recorded their debut full-length, Truth In The Age Of Lies. This would not be released until 1997 by a short-lived German label. Based purely on word of mouth the band exploded with worldwide acclaim. Soon after the release of this groundbreaking album, their label folded and it became a highly-sought after underground rarity. Now 15 years later we are proud to be able to re-release this crossover classic with expanded packaging and bonus tracks.
