Zamorano, Juanjo

Animales Vivos

The Asturian singer-songwriter launches his second solo album, this time entirely in Spanish. Recorded between 2018 and 2019, the album is produced, recorded, mixed and mastered by Los Deltonos leader Hendrik Rover at his studio Guitar Town Recordings in Muriedas, Cantabria. Zamorano has on this occasion the invaluable help of the magnificent musicians from Rover, Tono L. Banos and Javi Arias on drums, Goyo Chiquito on double bass and choirs, Irene Filandera on violin, as well as Hendrik's immense contribution to electric guitars, steel pedal and lap, keys, vocals and choirs and almost everything else that sounds on the record. Also the Asturian Jorge Otero, (Stormy Mondays), collaborates with backing vocals in the first cut of the cd. Juanjo Zamorano (Madrid 1975), active as a musician for over 25 years as part of various Asturian bands such as Disco Sucks, or Void, began his recording career in 2010 with the Country Rock group The Pilgrim Rose; after three albums with the band decides to release "Juanjo Zamorano" (Folc) at the end of 2015. In his new album "Animales Vivos", the author decides definitively for the Castilian when writing his songs that, still, are still impregnated in the form and style of 20th century American popular music, country, blues, rock and roll, folk or bluegrass.
