Founded by Etienne Mbappe, NEC+, brings together around the bassist with black silk gloved hands, the magic wands of Nicolas Viccaro on drums, harmonic finesse, melodic beauty, and the heartbreaking bow of Christophe Cravero on piano, keyboards and violin. An intense, surprising, singing, dancing music... with resolutely jazz sounds, where the winds from Africa and elsewhere sometimes blow. An aerial music when crystalline harmonies embrace caressing melodies. Of Earth, when the wild rhythms express a bold thirst for freedom. Essentially instrumental, the compositions are sometimes sung by the atypical and mesmerizing voice of Etienne Mbappe, whose charisma and generosity embark on a universe conducive to the imagination and to the encounter. The NEC+ album is rich in 10 original compositions written by Etienne Mbappe, for the most part, and Christophe Cravero. The arrangements and orchestrations are signed by the three musicians, long-time companions, who find in this trio formula, an ideal playground to let their musicality express themselves, between ensemble harmony and thirst for improvisation!
