Already a big draw in Australia and the UK, AC/DC were determined to crack the United States in 1977. Having replaced bassist Mark Evans with Cliff Williams in June, theyheaded over there to promote their new Let There Be Rock album, performing in many small clubs, as well as supporting biggerbands in larger venues. This classic set, broadcast on KSAN-FM, captures them at their early peak, performing their uniquebrand of bludgeoning rocknroll to an ecstatic audience. Its presented here with background notes and images.

Although blues-rock guitar great Mike Bloomfield had retreated from the spotlight in the early 1970s, he was continuing to play in low-key settings such as the performances on this CD. Recorded at Sausalitos Record Plant on April 22, 1973for broadcast on KSAN-FM in San Francisco, they also feature longtime collaborator Mark Naftalin on piano. Only one of the songs would later find release on a Bloomfield album.
