Detente
Recognize No Authority
DETENTE was founded in 1984 by singer Dawn Crosby and drummer Dennis Butler and quickly became an insider tip of the American west coast. "Recognize No Authority" is the re-release of the iconic '86 debut album. In addition, two songs from the album were re-recorded in 2010 with the current front woman Tina Teal and are part of this re-release. The second CD of this double CD contains all the demos published by the band from 1984 to 1989 as well as two unpublished tracks that were recorded in 1985 live and in rehearsal sessions. The two demos by Catalepsy (which emerged from a split from Detente) "Evil Within" (1987) and "Law And Disorder" (1988) can also be found on this ReRelease, which is a collective work of the musicians involved. All songs have been remastered. The double CD is also rounded off with an extensive booklet, which is packed with photos, flyers, texts and liner notes from Steve Hochheiser
