Young Benjamins

Less Argue

Young Benjamins formed in the heart of the Canadian prairies in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan in 2009. The band meld their Canadian, UK, Fransaskois and Persian identities into the rich tapestry that makes up their unique sound. Lead singer and guitarist Neusha Mofazzali emigrated to Canada from the UK less than a decade ago and bought his first guitar at a garage sale for 30 dollars, a year before forming the band. Veronique Poulin (violin, keyboards and vocals) is Fransaskois; Francophone from Saskatchewan and has been playing violin almost all her life, tying traditional and regional styles together with a classical education and pop vernacular. Young Benjamins sound is solidly filled out by Brynn Krysa on bass and Tyson Goodyear on percussions. The name, Young Benjamins is based on the character Benjamin Braddock from the 1967 movie, "The Graduate" played by Dustin Hoffman. The album, consists of 11 tracks "Featuring songs that are both masculine and feminine in nature, the album showcases the bands ability to write songs that balance strong instrumentation and creative vocal harmonies." mixtape magazine "Its a surprisingly mature and polished debut album, as every track has a certain charm that makes for a great listen, top to bottom."
