Paradox
A soul-absorbing collision of doom metal and shoegaze. Nadja is a project of immense heaviness by the prolific multi-instrumentalist Aidan Baker, who was later joined by bassist/vocalist Leah Buckareff. They have the ability to craft a devastating and slow-moving flood of beautifully textured doom thats augmented with elements of shoegaze, noise and drone ambient. Their style is therefore often described as dreamsludge. Since Nadjas formation in 2003, the band built an extensive discography by releasing several albums, EPs and splits every year. The performance of Nadja at Incubate festival 2014 in the venue Paradox will be live recorded by Consouling Sounds and pressed at Record Industry during the festival, as part of the Consouling Sounds Mobile Office project. The vinyl will be played for an audience of reviewers and journalists for the first time on Saturday Sept. 20, 2014, after which the vinyl will be up for sale in the Consouling Sounds Incubate Store (limited to 300 copies only).
