Great comeback album of the former ATARI TEENAGE RIOT singer HANIN ELIAS.As a founding member of the uncompromising, highly politically motivated techno-punk band ATARI TEENAGE RIOT, HANIN ELIAS came to international fame in the nineties. Also with her excessively-emancipated appearance in the media, she perfectly fi ts into a role model of a riot girl, which was omnipresent at that time. After the band in 2001 broke up, ALEC EMPIRE and HANIN ELIAS ways splited: ELIAS started her own label FATAL RECORDINGS (only as a platform for female artists) and re-released her previous solo albums, ,No Games No Fun" (2003) and ,Future Noir" (2004), on which she colaborated with Alexander Hacke (EINSTNDE NEUBAUTEN), J. Mascis (DINOSAUR JR.), the japanese noise legend MERZBOW and THURSTON MOORE (SONIC YOUTH). After an approximately fi ve-year-long break, which she spent in polynesia, HANIN ELIAS now is back with a brilliant new album. The eleven tracks on ,Get It Back" continue the harsh sound of ATR, but also share typical elements of electro, break beat and hip hop.
