1 - 13TH FLOOR ELEVATORS - ROCKIUS OF LEVITATUM (PD) - (LP)
LILITH

This collection of live tracks gives those of us who werent there during those halcyon days of psychedelia, a taste of just what lofty heights (and hellish depths) the Elevators were capable of reaching. The performances are taken from three sources: "Roller Coaster", "Youre Gonna Miss Me" and "Tried to Hide" from a rockin appearance on a local Dallas / Ft. Worth television show in the spring of 1966, "Dont Fall Down", "Kingdom Of Heaven", "She Lives In A Time of Her Own" and "Ive Got Levitation" from a notoriously shambolic gig in Houston in 1967, and the remaining eight tracks from a series of stellar performances at San Franciscos Avalon Ballroom in autumn of 1966.

TRACKLISTING: 01. Roller Coaster 02. Youre Gonna Miss Me 03. Before You Accuse Me 04. Tried To Hide 05. Dont Fall Down 06. The Word 07. Im Gonna Love You Too 08. You Dont Know 09. Everybody Needs Somebody To Love 10. Splash 1 11. Monkey Island 12. Kingdom Of Heaven 13. Fire Engine 14. She Lives In A Time Of Her Own 15. Ive Got Levitation

Gatefold 180 gram 2LP with bonus CD of the album. Featuring 8 rare bonus tracks from the period! This version replaces LR145DLP, now out of print.

11 - BEATLES - THIS IS...SAVAGE YOUNG BEATLES - (L+C)
LILITH

Riding the wave of the German beat craze of the early sixties, British singer Tony Sheridan became a regular on the Hamburg club circuit, recruiting an ever-changing roster of back-up musicians that included, in 1961, a nascent Beatles featuring John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison and Pete Best. Although still very much on the scene, bassist Stu Sutcliffe did not appear on these sessions. While most of the songs here are covers sung by Sheridan, Lennon and Harrison did write the instrumental "Cry For A Shadow". Hamburg is also where the Beatles first picked up the mop-top. 13 - BRAINTICKET - ALCHEMIC UNIVERSE - (L+C)
LILITH

180 gram LP + free CD of the album. Like Halleys Comet, after 30+ years spent travelling to other worlds, Braintickets Joel Vandroogenbroek is again lighting up the night sky. The year 2000 marked Braintickets return with Alchemic Universe, their first full-length LP in decades. Fans expecting a replica of Braintickets early seventies sound be warned, Joel has not spent the past thirty years in a bubble, and the band has happily evolved to keep pace with the new millennium, while still managing to keep its kosmiche roots intact. While Joel performs musical duties (keyboards, synth, guitar, flute), a nice surprise is Carol Muriel (fans may remember her from Celestial Ocean) on vocals on several tracks. CD features the full version of "Transformation Of A Stream", as well as the originally intended track order.

14 - BRAINTICKET - CELESTIAL OCEAN - (L+C)
LILITH

1973's brilliant Celestial Ocean, by the legendary Swiss krautrock band Brainticket, is a concept album that details an ancient pharoah's journey into the afterlife (substitute the word "journey" for "trip" and you'll get what they were driving at). However, Brainticket were not mere products of their time, they explored some truly compelling musical territory and produced a superlative blanket of sound-featuring a pioneering mix of early synthesizers, flute, zither, sitar, and male / female stream-of-consciousness spoken word vocals-that ebbs and flows in the same general cosmos as classic Gong, going on to influence bands like Sonic Youth, Stereolab, Skinny Puppy, The Legendary Pink Dots, and more! This reissue is fully remastered from the original master tapes.

TRACKLISTING: 01. Egyptian Kings 02. Jardins 03. Rainbow 04. Era Of Technology 05. To Another Answer 06. The Space Between 07. Cosmic Wind 08. Visions

15 - BRAINTICKET - COTTONWOODHILL - (L+C)
LILITH

Being as LSD was first developed in a laboratory in Basel, it is perhaps no coincidence that one of the most "far out" albums of all time was made by this Swiss band (no small feat, given the competition!). Braintickets 1971 debut, Cottonwoodhill, begins normally enough with two fine psychedelic / kraut rock-influenced tracks, but the remainder of the album plays like an acid trip with a soundtrack, dominated by Joel Vandroogenbroecks endless droning organ, a variety of musique concrete-type sound effects and vocalist Dawn Muirs trippy vocals. The album, banned in several countries, even came with this self-imposed warning: "After Listening to this Record, your friends may not know you anymore." / "Only listen to this once a day, your brain might be destroyed!".

TRACKLISTING: 01. Black Sand 02. Places Of Light 03. Brainticket, Pt. I 04. Brainticket, Pt. I - Conclusion / Pt. Ii

16 - BRAINTICKET - PSYCHONAUT - (L+C)
LILITH

1972s Psychonaut, by the Swiss-based Brainticket, is early seventies space rock at its finest. While the bands debut album, 1971s Cottonwoodhill, was a heavily acid-laden affair dominated by droning organ, disturbing vocals and a collection of cacophonic sound effects (causing it to carry a warning label and be banned in several countries) for their second effort, band-founder JoIl Vandroogenbroeck brought in a completely new line-up and changed the bands sound dramatically. While Psychonaut still takes listeners into the realm of altered consciousness-making heavy use of a droning Hammond, sitar, tablas, etc.-this time the vocals are more melodic and the music itself is more song-oriented. This is by far Braintickets most accessible album, and perhaps their most timeless. Fully remastered from the original master tapes!

TRACKLISTING: 01. From Another Planet 02. Radagacuca 03. One Morning 04. Watchin' You 05. Like A Place In The Sun 06. Feel The Wind Blow 07. Coc¶ Mary

Even at age 52, James Brown was still the hardest working man in show business, as this classic live recording of back-to-back hits from 1985 so completely documents. From show opener "Give It Up Or Turnit A Loose" all the way through to "Please Please Please", the King of Soul never lets up, while his band-led by "Sweet" Charles Sherrell on keyboards and the legendary Maceo Parker on sax-more than takes care of business out back.

18 - CAN - CAN (INNER SPACE) - (L+C)
LILITH

1979s, Can (aka Inner Space), the bands last proper album, was less experimental than its previous releases, with Michael Karoli doing more straightforward vocals and guitar. Having spent the previous decade taking elements of the classical avant-garde (i.e. Karlheinz Stockhausen) and underground rock (i.e Velvet Underground) to create a kind of genreless "new music"-and influencing countless bands in the process-Can had reached the natural end of its journey. Although founding members Irmin Schmidt (keyboards) and Jaki Liebezeit (drums) can still be heard, Rebop Kwaku Baah and Rosko Gee of Traffic fame have been added to the mix, with former bassist Holger Czukay doing the editing.

TRACKLISTING: 01. All Gates Open 02. Safe 03. Sunday Jam 04. Sodom 05. A Spectacle 06. E.f.s. Nr. 99 ("can Can") 07. Ping-pong (trad.) 08. Can Be

23 - CANNED HEAT - VINTAGE (+ 1) - (LP)
LILITH

Canned Heat was formed in 1965 by Alan "Blind Owl" Wilson (guitar/harmonica/vocals), and Bob "The Bear" Hite (vocals). Before hitting the charts in 1968 with their version of Jim Oden's "On The Road Again" (#20 in the USA, # 10 in the UK), here is how they sounded in 1966 when R&B pioneer Johnny Otis produced their first recordings. A perfect match, considering that Wilson and Hite were avid record collectors and blues aficionados, chosing to stay close to the originals on their versions of classics by Muddy Waters' "Got My Mojo Working", Willie Dixon's "Spoonful" and "Pretty Thing", John Lee Hooker's "Louise" and "Dimples", and Elmore James' "Rollin' and Tumblin'. 24 - CHROME - ALIEN SOUNDTRACKS - (L+C)
LILITH

1978s Alien Soundtracks was the second album by the sci-fi obsessed San Francisco experimental rock band, Chrome, formed in 1977 by Damon Edge. A brilliant combination of punk rock aesthetic, with Iggy-esque vocals, jangly guitar, primitive electronics, tape manipulation and sampling, this was also the first album to feature the mad guitar stylings of Helios Creed. Often credited as being the precursors to the industrial metal sound, the band are also akin to experimental punk/noise bands like Pere Ubu and Suicide. Featuring "The Manifestation (Of The Idea)" originally released simultaneously on the 1982 Chrome Box and on an Italian Chrome compilation, "No Humans Allowed". 180 gram LP + printed inner with lyrics and bonus CD of the album

25 - CHROME - BLOOD ON THE MOON - (L+C)
LILITH

For this 1981 release, Edge and Creed brought in brothers John and Hilary Stench on drums and bass. The brothers hailed from the extremely popular local new wave band, Pearl Harbour & the Explosions, formed in 1978 in San Francisco. This new rhythm section can definitely be heard, making Chrome a bit more danceable if you will and the first inklings of that driving industrial metal beat can be heard. Tracks like excellent "Perfumed Metal" are a perfect example of this transformation. It was also in 1981 that Chrome received an offer to perform live in Italy from a group of Italian fans. Chrome had never appeared live before, but unbelievably they accepted the Italian gig and flew to Bologna, Italy to play their first ever live concert. The "live instrumental track" included here is from that legendary Italian concert, on July 20, 1981. 180 gram LP + printed inner with lyrics and bonus CD of the album.

26 - CHROME - HALF MACHINE LIP MOVES - (L+C)
LILITH

When Chrome first came on the SF punk scene in the late seventies, they were called "acid punk", due to their penchant for both, but also because their music came from a "far-out" place.a place most people could only get to while in a drug-altered state. The sci-fi obsessed Creed and Edge, however, claimed to channel their music directly from the beyond, and when 1979s groundbreaking Half Machine Lip Moves was released-an angular and metallic sounding album interspersed with electric violin, apocalyptic tape loops, moog, atonal droning distorted guitar and a wall of metallic sounding percussion-it certainly sounded that way. For the next five years Creed and Edge were a force to be reckoned with, laying the groundwork for the industrial music scene and directly influencing almost every guitar-toting punk ever since. Featuring three bonus tracks--"Anti-Fade", "I Left My Heart In San Francisco" and "Meet You In The Subway"-which originally appeared on the "Subterranean Modern" compilation, released in 1979 on Ralph Records. The compilation featured these three tracks by Chrome, along with 3 tracks by MX-80 Sound, Tuxedomoon and 4 by The Residents. 180 gram LP + bonus CD of the album

TRACKLISTING: 01. T.v. Humans are the cancer of the planet.all people have untapped psychic powers...acid is good.aliens exist.these are just some of the ideas that the pioneering San Francisco band Chrome was grappling with in its music, labeled "acid punk" by the press in a desperate attempt to categorize them. Comparing them to everyone from Pere Ubu, to the Residents, to Devo, to Can, to Eno, the reality was that no one knew really knew where they fit in.perhaps because they really were channeling their music from some distant alien planet. In fact, Chromes founder, Damon Edge, described himself as having something he called "clairaudient syndrome", a condition that allows you to "hear something before it happens".meaning that he would first hear the music in his head, and then "channel" it onto tape.. and perhaps that explains the music in this LP. For Chrome aficionados this album is more ambient and droning than previous albums, except for the Devo-esque "Electric Chair"- and one wonders if they didnt write this song to poke fun at the band. Featuring three bonus tracks: "In A Dream" and "Danger Zone" both taken from their 1981 12" "Inworlds single". and "Informations", taken from the b-side of their rare "New Age" 7" released in 1980. 180 gram LP + printed inner with lyrics and bonus CD of the album.

28 - CHROME - THIRD FROM THE SUN - (L+C)
LILITH

Metallic drums, grating guitar, a driving industrial beat, lo-fi / sci fi, toxic waste. this was the universe inhabited by SF cyber punks, Chrome. Originally released in 1982, on band founder Damon Edges own Siren Records, this was the bands last official release. Still featuring the rhythmic talents of John & Hilary Stench on drums and bass, and as always, the brilliantly feral guitar playing of Helios Creed, the album kicks off with the jaw-dropping "Firebomb". Also featuring two bonus tracks from their rare 1982 Anorexic Sacrifice 7" single. 180 gram LP + printed inner with lyrics and bonus CD of the album.

TRACKLISTING: 01. Firebomb 02. Future Ghosts 03. Armageddon 04. Heart Beat 05. Off The Line 06. 3rd From The Sun 07. Shadows Of A Thousand Years 08. Anorexic Sacrifice (bonus) 09. Beacons To The Eye (bonus)
