1 - MATERIAL GIRLS - LEATHER - (LP)
EXAG'

The debut-LP by a band from Atlanta, GA, indulging in glam and goth, while maintaining a percussive no wave edge. Summoning the ghosts of CBGB and Andy Warhol, this eight-song record explodes with post-modern sleaze and over the course of 30 minutes.

2 - PHOENICIAN DRIVE - PHOENICIAN DRIVE - (LP)
EXAG'

Recorded in the Studio Koko by the insatiable John Roo (La Jungle, It It Anita), this record indulges in the psychedelic pleasures (Amon Duul II, Os Mutantes) and the joy of motorik rhythms (Can, NEU!, Faust, Cluster). Soaked in darbuka, edged with oud and distortion effusions, the compositions are here travelling in first class, far from formatted highways and traffic jams. At full speed, Phoenician Drive runs on krautrock with a loaded trunk. Flamenco, oriental grooves, jazz and Balkan vibrations pile up next to a suitcase full of crazy soundtracks as echoes to the library music traditions (Sandro Brugnolini, Alessandro Alessandroni). Between recollection of a fantasy past and prospect of an exciting future, Phoenician Drive's music makes light of the timeline's norms in order to create eight vivace and striking tracks which are timeless and totally unclassifiable. A one of a kind performance.

3 - PHOENICIAN DRIVE - TWO COINS (10"/MARBLED) - (EP)
EXAG'

Repress with coloured sleeve and black and white marbled vinyl. Balancing on a tightrope between Mediterranean traditions and psychedelic rock, Phoenician Drive is a Brussels-based six-piece featuring Diego Moscoso. This percussionist gathered musicians coming from various musical backgrounds (flamenco, balkan, psychedelic, rock'n'roll, jazz, post-punk/new wave) in order to combine drums and fuzzy guitars with oud and Eastern percussion. Following musical blendings of east and west from the '70s, like Erkin Koray or Orient Express, and under the influence of the German kraut-rock scene (Neu!, Can, Faust), Phoenician Drive searches the hypnotic trance based on distorted oriental grooves.

4 - SLIFT - SPACE IS THE KEY - (LP)
EXAG'

Slift's 'Space Is The Key' kicks off with five nervous garage psych-rock tracks, loaded up with fuzz mayhem, manic beats and hypnotic riffs. The power-trio delivers a mighty wall of sound that sets ground on space rock grooves to get to those garage kraut drives carved with alienated psychobilly inspired vocals reminiscing of King Gizzard And The Lizard Wizard and Thee Oh Sees.

5 - WOODEN INDIAN BURIAL GROUND - WINNIE & THE NIHILIST - (LP)
EXAG'

In their current state of designed perpetual flux WIBG has found some serious footing. Since 2012 Justin Fowler, Dan Galucki have consistently churned out shimmering, spasmodic psych rock of an exceptional degree. Since joined by Nathan Moore and Cory Gray in 2016, the crew has found a sort of chaotic cohesion. Many tours across the United States and Europe with the likes of FUZZ, Built to Spill and countless other groups of questionable individuals have left WIBG wise, weathered and thankful for the opportunity to shred. On tip toes and with bloody hands WIBG creates something more than songs. Their singular style is an organic cacophony of scattered metallic sway and lascivious throbbing that will leave you writhing and shaking into the wee hours.
