2 - NEXT STOP: HORIZON - THE HARBOUR, MY HOME - (CD)
TAPETE

Next Stop: Horizon report back with "The Harbour, My Home". A lot has happened in the two and a half years since the release of their marvelous debut album "We Know Exactly Where We Are Going". During one of their highly acclaimed tours that led Par Hagstrom and Jenny Roos with their band through Europe, they were drafted for a theater production at the Saarland State Theatre. Par Hagstrom wrote the music for the play "Das kalte Herz" and the entire band lived and worked for several months in Germany during the rehearsals and performances. With plenty of inspiration in tow, they headed back to Sweden to record the new album - in their own analogue studio. Recorded on gorgeously quirky vintage equipment, the album features instruments that are less commonly heard in pop music - including bass clarinet, harmonium, mandolin. But it's difficult for outsiders to find the right words to describe this music. In keeping with tradition, Par & Jenny bring it more precisely to the point.

TRACKLISTING: 01. Something Rare And Something Fine 02. Rain On Me 03. The Harbour, My Home 04. The Sea Of. 05. A Heart For Gold 06. Gonna Get It Back 07. The Beginning 08. The Wish 09. Talking Low 10. Well Whistle So 11. Ennui

4 - NEXT STOP: HORIZON - WE KNOW EXACTLY WHERE WE ARE GOING - (CD)
TAPETE

NEXT STOP: HORIZON is Per Hagstrom & Jenny Roos fromGothenburg, Sweden. Their music is so special that I had to really, really rack my brain a bit to come up with some composition of words to possibly explain their sound. Heres what I got down on paper: "Kurt Weill-esque, achingly unique, anarchic and melodramatic music of bizarre beauty." I would also like to add that their music sounds archaic and totallycontemporary at the same time. How the hell they do this is beyond me... but its true.Dirk Darmstaedter, Tapete RecordsA mixture of 30's/40's showtunes, today's indiescene and, gypsy styles.

TRACKLISTING: 01. Iron Train 02. Wild Escape 03. She's A Ghost 04. Reed Organ Song 05. Ship In A Bottle 06. Telekinesis 07. Up In The Air 08. Tiny Wings 09. Mysterious Grace 10. One Of Those Nights 11. Love Is All 12. Mountain Bells
