37 - ZVUKI MU - ZVUKI MU 1089 - (LP)
MIRUMIR

This legendary album from the legendary Moscow band which was the very first work of any Russian artist produced by the great Brian Eno himself. Originally named simply Zvuki Mu, this LP was originally released in 1989 on Enos own UK label Opal Records (distributed by Warner Bros.) and found more than a bunch of good reviews in Western music media. Moreover, even famed Robert Christgau himself called this LP "a perfect example of hypnotic rock cabaret", and he was right. An album that demonstrates fusion of two rock schools - anarchic songs with quite absurd lyrics composed by frontman Petr Mamonov was clearly produced by Brian Eno using all modern-for-a-day studio technologies, hence the really interesting results. Although this LP always stands in the shadow of other Zvuki Mus works, it have charm of its own and too many early bands hits are here, albeit with quite unusual vocal and instrumental arrangements. Our own "Zvuki Mu 1989" is the very first re-release of this historic album on vinyl. This release remastered by Russian rock expert Evgeni Gapeev but stands true to its original in cover and inner sleeve design. Includes bonus track "Winter - Dance Remix" from 1994 CD re-issue.

TRACKLISTING: 01. Istochnik Zarazy (the Source Of Infection) 02. Sumashedshaya Koroleva (crazy Queen) 03. Zabytyi Sex (forgotten Sex) 04. Nol Minus Odin (zero Minus One) 05. Otvyazhis (leave Me Alone) 06. Krym (crimea) 07. Gadopiatikna 08. Bumazhnye Tsvety (paper Flowers) 09. Postovoi (ezhednevnyi Geroi) (traffic Policeman (everyday Hero)) 10. Zima (winter) 11. Zima (winter) - Dance Remix
